A Case for Online Registration
All walk-in, mailed, and faxed registrations will be processed in the order they arrive at the secretary's desk as quickly as possible. The program secretary must first create and complete a profile for each of these registrations, select the courses listed for each child, and process a credit card, if necessary. This will take time, depending on the number of walk-in, mailed, and faxed registrations that must be processed.
Therefore, it is possible that a parent registering online could secure a place in a class before a walk-in, mailed, or faxed registration even though they may register later than parents who choose the aforementioned options. This is because the parent has chosen to expedite their child's registration by entering the data themselves. Those parents who hand-deliver, mail or fax their registrations have chosen to have the DSS enter the data for them; when that data is processed depends how many must be processed by the program secretary.
